NOTICE OF MEETINGS

OPEN BOARD MEETING
(Board meetings are available by audio webcast and telephone.)

Thursday, June 21, 2007, 9:00 a.m.

The Board meeting will be held on Thursday instead of Wednesday.

  1. Business combinations (estimated 1-hour discussion). The Board will discuss substantive issues identified by external reviewers or others as part of the fatal-flaw review for the business combinations and noncontrolling interests Statements.

  2. Financial statement presentation (estimated 2-hour discussion). The Board will discuss:

    1. Classification of basket transactions (a single transaction that involves multiple assets [or a combination of assets and liabilities] that would be classified in more than one category under the proposed presentation format)

    2. Foreign currency translation adjustments

    3. Types of changes in assets and liabilities that should be disaggregated in the financial statements and how that information might be presented (a continuation of its March 2007 discussion).

  3. Open discussion. If necessary, the Board will allow time to discuss minor issues with staff members on technical projects or administrative matters. Those discussions are held following regular Board meetings as topics come up.

OPEN EDUCATION SESSION

Thursday, June 21, 2007, following the Board meeting

The Board will hold an educational, non-decision-making session to discuss topics that are anticipated to be discussed at a future Board meeting. Those topics will be posted to the FASB calendar four days prior to the education session.

OPEN MEETING OF THE FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING STANDARDS ADVISORY COUNCIL
(This meeting is available by audio webcast and telephone, except the portion noted below.)

Tuesday, June 19, 2007, 8:30 a.m.

The Advisory Council will meet to discuss the following topics:

  1. XBRL

  2. International convergence issues.*

The Advisory Council will hear a report from the chairman of the FASB on other Board activities. The Council also will hear reports from representatives of the Office of the Chief Accountant of the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Office of the Chief Auditor of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.

The Advisory Council will hold break-out group discussions on international convergence issues beginning at approximately 11:20 a.m. until the lunch break at 12:15 p.m. The break-out group discussions will not be available via webcast or telephone. The Advisory Council will reconvene at 1:15 p.m. for a group discussion on international convergence issues. That session and the remainder of the meeting will be available via webcast and telephone.

OPEN MEETING OF THE SMALL BUSINESS ADVISORY COMMITTEE
(This meeting is available by audio webcast and telephone, except the portion noted below.)

Wednesday, June 20, 2007, 9:00 a.m.

The Small Business Advisory Committee will meet to discuss the following topics:

  1. Private company reporting activities

  2. International convergence issues

  3. The Board’s project on the conceptual framework

  4. The Board’s project on financial statement presentation.*

The Advisory Committee will hear a report from the chairman of the FASB on other Board activities. The Committee also will hear reports from representatives of the Office of the Chief Accountant of the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Office of the Chief Auditor of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.
