Donald M. Young
Board Member

Donald M. Young was appointed to the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), effective January 1, 2005. Prior to joining the FASB, Mr. Young was managing director of Young & Company LLC, a provider of consulting and research services for technology and private equity clients; served on the board of directors of the W.P. Stewart Growth Fund; and was former managing director with PaineWebber/UBS.
Mr. Young’s career has been primarily as a technology analyst providing in-depth industry research and long-term investment advice on a broad range of technology companies. He was managing director at Prudential Securities and was a senior vice president at Lehman Brothers Inc. Previously, he was a principal with Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., Inc.
Mr. Young also worked in the computer industry at Burroughs Corporation (the forerunner of Unisys Corporation) where he held a number of planning, marketing, and finance positions.
A 1975 graduate of the University of Michigan, Mr. Young holds an M.B.A. degree from Harvard Business School. He is a member of CFA Institute.
