IN FOCUS: FASB Update for Accounting Educators
FASB) is pleased to announce its annual free webcast providing an update for university and college accounting educators on the FASB’s standard-setting activities. We hope you can participate.The webcast is complimentary to all registrants who are affiliated with an academic institution or have an “.edu” email address; viewers of the live event can earn up to 2.5 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.
Speakers: The webcast will feature FASB members and staff, including Christine A. Botosan, FASB Member and former University of Utah Accounting Professor; Susan M. Cosper, FASB Member; Jeffrey D. Mechanick, FASB Assistant Director; and Michael Durney, FASB Post-Doctoral Fellow.
The speakers will provide a high-level overview of FASB’s current agenda, recent accounting standards updates, and noteworthy ongoing projects. They will also highlight FASB resources designed to support your academics’ research and educational activities.
Participants will be able to submit questions during the live webcast and download the overhead slides for classroom use.
