FASB Names New Members to Its Investor Advisory Committee
Norwalk, CT, September 28, 2021—The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) today announced the appointment of two new members to its Investor Advisory Committee (IAC), effective immediately.
The new members of the IAC are:
- Catherine Mealor, Managing Director at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods (KBW)
- David Pizzimenti, Senior Equity Analyst at Amundi Asset Management.
Ms. Mealor joined KBW in 2003 and is responsible for small and mid-cap bank research coverage for banks in the Southeast. Mr. Pizzimenti has over 30 years of experience in global investment research and research management, having held positions on both the buy-side and sell-side. He focuses on global industrials and basic materials.
“Catherine and David bring a wealth of experience to the IAC,” stated FASB Chair Richard R. Jones. “I look forward to their contributions to the committee’s discussions as part of the FASB’s continuing outreach to the investment community.”
The IAC is the only FASB advisory group comprised solely of investors. Its members work closely with the FASB to ensure that investor perspectives are effectively communicated to the Board during the development of accounting standards. It advises the FASB on broad topics on the FASB’s agenda, emerging trends, and other areas of interest to investors. IAC membership includes a mix of buy-side and sell-side investors, credit and equity firms, and ratings agencies.
