FASB STATEMENT ON THE PASSING OF
EITF MEMBER L. CHARLES (CHUCK) EVANS
Norwalk, CT, February 18, 2015—The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) today issued the following statement in response to the passing of L. Charles (Chuck) Evans, Partner—Accounting Principles Consulting Group at Grant Thornton LLP and member of the FASB’s Emerging Issues Task Force (EITF):
The FASB offers our condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Chuck Evans, who recently passed away. A highly-respected accounting professional, Chuck was a valued member of the EITF whose input on emerging issues helped improve financial reporting for financial statement practitioners and users. He will be missed by all of us who were fortunate enough to know and work with him.
